AI refers to system that developed to mimic human intelligence, including problem solving, planning, natural language understanding and decision making. AI can also use as a symbolic logic, expert system. For example, an AI chatbot will combine ML for language processing and ruled based logic. Artificial Intelligence does more than Machine Learning because it covers a broader range of human behaviors. Also, AI combines reasoning and planning to help robots navigate and perform tasks, while Machine Learning is only handle object recognition. By doing so, AI offers the entire basis of intelligence and Machine Learning is one of the methods in it.
Can We Use Machine Learning as AI?
Yes, we can use Machine Learning as a form of Artificial Intelligence because Machine Learning learn patterns from data and improve over time without explicit programming, it used as a practical form of AI. For an example Machine Learning algorithm in spam filters used to classify messages, which is considered an AL application in practice but Machine Learning can be viewed as one way to achieve AL. Also, platforms like YouTube and Netflix relay on Machine Learning to suggest content but they describe it as AI tools. However, we need to keep in mind that Machine Learning is only one method within the AI. Machine Learning may serve as AI in real world systems, but AI does not necessarily limit itself to Machine Learning.

AI provide more than Machine Learning, As displayed in figure, AI is combination of Machine learning, Deep learning and Generative AI. Machine Learning is a branch of AI that focus on creating intelligent machine. AL provide other intelligent techniques like reasoning, planning, robotics and natural language. For example autonomous vehicles use Machine Learning to recognize objects but relay on other technologies to planning and decision making to navigate safely. In other words, Machine Learning gives the learning ability but AI as a whole delivers a complete intelligent system capable of complex scenarios.
